I'm back! It's been a long while since I've last blogged... again. :P

I'm back on a Mandy Moore craze! It's really been a while since I've last heard her songs. And these bring back a lot of teenage memories...

A Walk To Remember, was filmed way back in 2002. I wonder to myself, how did I ever miss the screening of this movie?!

Landon Carter (Shane West) is your typical teen in a "life crisis" of his own. His only wish; to get out of Beaufort, the small county where he lives in. Misled and wayward, he was soon caught in hazing incident. Being a person with a heart, he takes the rap for his fellow friends.

Put into community service and having to act in a community school play, he befriends Jamie Sullivan (Mandy Moore), a classmate since elementary who is also the Reverend's daughter, for the sole fact of rehearsing his script and be done with it. Little does he know, Jamie slowly changes the person within him. Slowly, he sees Jamie, beyond her bible-carrying, plain Jane exterior, an angel within...

Life takes a turn for him when a mischief played on Jamie turns him against his former friends. Jamie soon accepts him for a better person, and they fall in love with each other, breaking the promise that he once laughed off, that he could never fall in love with her...

However life is never as simple as it is. A tragedy presents itself to Landon, as he and Jamie face the trials and tribulations that love brings to their lives...

I watched this movie with a heavy heart, on the verge of tears between a few scenes. Lines that were mentioned in the movie are now a permanent fixture in my heart. Yes, the movie has once again stirred the sentimental Me within...

Wondering how could this movie be so underrated, I personally give it a 4/5. A worth-watching movie for those who need a reason to treasure life, every single moment of it, including loved ones...

Life on me however, is still having me on my toes, much to my dismay trying to curb procrastination. Especially on my tutorials. I've worried so much about them but still... it ends up in the form of Ds and Cs on my academic score sheet every semester, usually the Accounting and Finance subjects bearing the brunt of it.

COE bidding has reached a new level of madness. It's now 47,000 SGD to own a piece of paper that gives you the legal right to purchase a car. Seriously, could it get any worse than that? Apparently yes! Dad said that COE in the yesteryears once hit a high of 100k. My eyeballs popped out at that moment.

I got myself a few more poisons for the car that I will foresee myself driving longer in the future, thanks to the sky-high COE prices...

2) VS One, To-Box B-Pillar floor bar

However, the installaton of the floor bar was more complicated than expected. I probably need someone to help me tighten the other end at the same time to maximise the full stretch of the middle chassis...

The biggest difference in the handling was the rear strut bar. I could feel the strong hold of the rear in corners.

However I still feel the roll of the body, a little too much for my liking. I suppose this is because of the soft settings of my spring rate and dampers. Therefore, I'm saving up on the Tanabe Pro 5 set, with upgraded springs to F8kg, R6kg. That is at least another 1,700 SGD including installation from Jeep Chee.

Hello folks. It's been some time. :)

Every time I look back at my blog, it's mixed feelings coming back to me. Some things that I wanted to forget, some things that I held very dear in my heart, and sometimes laughing at how I felt back then, and how I would react now, all very silly...

Some painful, that sometimes you wish to erase any physical evidence of it, yet want to keep it to remind you of how far you have come. That's how I feel about this blog.

A little emotional, but let's just leave it as it is. I guess I'm in this mood because of this beautifully nostalgic Jpop song that Marshall has introduced me.

It's the holidays for me now. A rather short one, since we've been given a longer 'break' because of the inaugural Youth Olympic Games 2010 held in Singapore. I guess it's give and take, about compromise... but hey, this is THE REAL HOLIDAY, after exams, nothing really much to worry about except for my Accounting results as usual, which would probably be released with the rest of my other module results some time in early October.

Right, some updates about my favorite love, no I meant car... with my REAL love. :D

Currently saving to return a favor from a great friend of mine. After that, it's my indulgence at full throttle again! This time I've got a list of things I want to do...

Would most probably sell to a friend or over at the forum. I prefer Zeta because of the higher knee wall and broader shoulder padded areas.

Am headed to Spain/Portugal this coming Thursday on the 24th for my long awaited long haul holiday. But I know Bibi won't be happy, because she'll miss her sweetie for the next 3 weeks or so.

I'll be missing the Singapore F1 GP night race as well. Zzz.

*Yawns* Nearly 3am and I'm still awake with my classmates, finishing the major bulk of our International Cross Cultural Studies project which is to be presented in less than 5 hours later.

Screw sleep? Yeah. Is it gonna be a nap? Looks like it.

The exams are dawning on us in a month or so, with thanks to the Youth Olympic Games 2010 that will be held here in Singapore. Why? Because we get an additional three weeks to complete our revision.

Hopefully I won't flunk my Accounts paper. I did pretty okay for the Business Law paper, so I guess I need more luck over at the Accounts paper. *Sigh* Why am I always troubled by numbers... (>_ < )"

Will be heading up to the Sepang International Circuit this coming weekend with Bibi and the Swifters. Let's hope it will be exciting! Or better still, more exciting than the previous High Powered Challenge last May!

When will it be my turn at the circuit! I wanna go have fun even though Suzie is a slowpoke, I still want to go enjoy on the circuit! Pasir Gudang perhaps?

Will this be my next set of rubber, the Toyo R888 semi slick?

I hope so! Great for cornering work, though it's pretty risky on wet... LOL! But it's the fun that matters! The only way to match speed for speed is in the corners for the Swift...

The downside though, are bad fuel consumption figures (due to the large amount of grip generated) and the lack of threading to dissipate water on wet roads.

Up side? Great soft compound for dry conditions. Same price as my current Advan Neova AD08s that aren't even semi slick by nature!

The Advan Neova A050 is too expensive, even at 15" rim size. However, it has a harder compound, which would translate to a longer life, even under high stress conditions.

Still the price is a factor that plays an important part...

Alright. Enough of ranting here. I'll get back to my project. Till then people, stay frosty. :)

Blogging again. Just got back from supper at Ang Mo Kio Macdonalds (24 Hours Drive Thru') after two good hours at Seletar Reservoir.

Just before we left, we saw an accident right before us at the entrance to the restaurant car park; Mercedes taxi reversing right into a Honda Civic behind it, because it's IU wasn't read properly. LOL. Daryl and I simply shrugged and went home.

Went to watch 'My Rainy Days' earlier with Bibi at The Cathay.

The more appropriate one.

The Not-For-Kids movie poster...

I was surprised to find the nude Nozomi Sasaki promotional poster for the movie in The Cathay lifts, instead of the first poster, the "usually censored" and "suitable for all ages" type of approved movie poster MDA would grant.

The movie is about RIO (Nozomi Sasaki), a 17 year old girl living a life of prostitution after having gone through the most painful experience of her life; living the life of a rape victim. She is the leader of a prostitution ring, made up of acquaintances who blackmails adults into bedding with a minor.

Living the life of deception and luxury, until she met KOUKI (Tanihara Shousuke), a university professor in the History Department. She falls in a deep illicit relationship, forming the most controversial relationship between a couple; a teacher-student love.

Little did she know, her life will change forever.

A touching story that will move the hearts of young adults and teenagers, this movie is a typical melodrama of a troubled student's life in Japan involving a puppy love romance with an adult.

Weighing this against 'Ima Ai Ni Yukimasu' (I'm Coming To Be With You), this show is weaker in that sense, failing to fully tug at my heart's strings.

For Nozomi Sasaki, it was pretty good acting on her part, coming from a model background.

Lest the soapy scenes and the err... I'll leave it to you to decipher your own take by watching it.

Just helped finish some typing earlier, Having nothing really to do at this wee hour in the morning, after having gone for a late night of rounding across Singapore with the usual suspects.

Yesterday the Pestbusters guys came down to scour the house for any signs of termite infestation. Most of it was found on the third floor in the study room where books and wood are aplenty. Haven for those creeps. Spread some powder and chemical. Said they would follow up again in a week's time.

Benny has gotten more poison done to his car again. I don't know, maybe it does pay to be a working adult. Some cash to play around with.

Considering that the car is about 1.5 years old, I say that I've already done quite a great bit of modification to it. Though most plug and play, I do not see any proper tuning potential in the Swift, not at least in strict LTA-governed Singapore.

It would be best to use a proper sports category of cars to go all out in. That is, for example, the Honda Civic Type R (FD2R), Nissan GT-R (R35), Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X (CZ4A) or Subaru Impreza WRX (GRB). These are good and proper bases to start working/tuning with.

Considering that the Swift is a first car for me, I would say that I'll leave engine tuning alone and concentrate fully on learning how to maximise the car's best ability; cornering and improving my road handling skills. I've already felt it's cornering limits in the various situations and road conditions that I've been well, lucky to experience by chance or deliberately.

In any case, I'm still no good at fully understanding engine tuning, hence, "If it ain't broke, don't fuckin' touch it."

I've always told many of my friends, that power isn't everything. There is no end to modding, as well as power. However, it is essential to have a good safety base before deciding to increase power. That is, tires and brakes. These are essential items that are used day to day, unlike excess horsepower which is not fully utilised on our extremely congested roads.

You can have all the power, but without the grip ability from the tires to properly put that power down from engine to road, it is useless. Worse, imagine going fast in wet conditions and lack the ability to slow down when something crops up is serious trouble.

I'm quite particular about having such modifications done first. Tires, brakes... these are MUST items, even if you're a 'safety' driver. Accidents don't occur because you cause them, but they happen also because other people cause them upon you.

Personally, when I see a 'souped' car on the road, I'm quite a bit of the critic. My first areas of inspection of that car would be:

1) Tires
2) Brakes

These two things would already make me marvel at how the driver is able to think for himself, and the safety of his passenger, lest the usage of semi-slick tires.

For me, I feel that though the Swift is a little lacking in the horsepower department, but I imagine being able to understand how to keep the speed up while utilising what I know about the car and my knowledge. Think of it as, Takumi Fujiwara in the AE86.

Now I'm not saying that I'm anything as good as the Initial D character, but simply being able to be the best I can with what I'm given. As a lot of good friends in SwiftClubSG have always advised me, "Why up the power when you have problems keeping your car under control in harsh conditions?"

That really inspired me to properly understand the car and the limits it presents, as well as my own driving ability.

About to head for bed. Decided to update this rusty blog though. LOL.

Didn't do that well for my 1st Semester in polytechnic. But that's fine. I understand that it was due to the lack of effort and time put into serious studies that caused this. I won't say that I'm using this as an excuse to not do well, however I'm not aiming for university; my will to continue studying is burning off.

Well, at least I passed all my subjects. XD

I just want to go out and work. People keep telling me how much they missed studying bla bla bla, but honestly, I've had enough of studying. At this age, I want to have my own income and start working, earning my own salary, given my current lifestyle and friends around me. I don't want to continue to be a burden financially and emotionally to my parents.

But there is a deep fear within me, AM I OLD ENOUGH TO FEND FOR MYSELF? HAVE I MATURED ENOUGH TO THINK LIKE A TRUE ADULT? HAVE I SEEN ENOUGH OF THE WORLD TO DEEM MYSELF READY TO BE A SALARYMAN? This is one question I will only find out the day I work.

Should stop ranting. Not many will understand anyways. LOL.

I'm back after a really loooooooooooooong hiatus. Not that I intentionally wanted this blog to rot, but simply because I've been tied down with studies...

... fine. The car as well okay? *Sighs*

First thing I would like to say right now; school exam results will be out this coming Wednesday. I've nothing to say to my atrocious standards of laziness, hence the need for the late night muggings. The muggings helped to an extent, but not really enough to even grant me a peace-of-mind mindset that at least I'd pass.

I've completely no confidence in passing Accounting and Statistics. Accounting needs you to be REALLY accurate and familiar with the methods, while Statistics is MATHS MATHS MATHS.

And I absolutely LOATH MATHS. >.<"

I'm pretty sure, that I've got to retake these two particular subjects. I'm darn sure of that. If ever on the day of the results I get even a freaking D for them both, I'd cry, hug, celebrate with Toby. T_T

Yes, it's THAT bad. Studying in poly is what I've achieved, but definitely not the standard and lifestyle. I need to change my mindset. I need to change the way my brain functions. Wake up Aaron, this is not ITE!

*Sigh* Until Wednesday (23rd September) comes, I guess I won't be able to sleep in peace. Honestly, I've not told anyone, that it's really affecting my sleep. I have to 'deceive' myself that 'everything will be fine' and then when my mind goes to 'temporary ease mode', I fall asleep. Even so, I get only 6 hours of sleep. Terrible isn't it?

I swear upon my own name, if I pass and get to the next semester with an ease of mind, OH HOW I WILL GO HOME AND DO MY HOMEWORK DUTIFULLY!

Thanks to Hycool Bro, I've changed my stock air filter to this Monster Sport PFX air filter. Simple plug and play. No open pods for me, they give you bad pickup unless you redo your fuel injectors and ECU. No point putting so much air in while the fuel injection remains the same. Will cause a bad lag and thus the acceleration in low range suffers.

Then got this incredible Cusco front ARB lobang. Handling up again!

Yet to install, waiting to get my full set of Cusco bars before I install them all at a single session!

Don't intend to mod much. Simple things like these are affordable and non-regrettable in nature. ;)

Went for dinner a week back with Bibi at Ikea Tampines. Seems like it was her first time there, thought she would have gone there since she studied at ITE College East much longer than me... (I was at College West Clementi, doing my NITEC studies while she did hers at College East)

Ordered two plates of spaghetti with the much talked about Swedish meatballs and a plate of fried chicken wings. Sinful.

We then had soft-serve ice-cream that was sold at the entrance/exit.

Look at that face, enjoying the ice-cream. Glutton... LoL.

Fresh from the oven...

I've just got back from the cinema. Transformers 2 : Revenge of the Fallen was worth anticipating and waiting for, at least for me.

Had some crazy thoughts the night before, but let's not go into details, due to some irresponsible, but strangely true words my Dad said.

"You make a damn good liar. So good that you live your lies."

Oh yeah. I told him to give me an award for that. Yeah eff him alright, he doesn't understand, why his own son lies to him so much that it's hard to be true.

But it's because of that, I EMO-ed and caught the movie on the midnight of 24th June. It was so worth it.

I'm gonna catch the movie again, and again, with the other peeps I promised. Oh yeah... *Nods his head fervently* OH YEAH.

Headed down to Kallang Leisure Park last night to chill with Leonard. Cozy Bay is no more the place I used to know. Gone were the pub/grill restaurant at the watch tower by the Bay, and the seafood restaurants sitting on the edge of the riverside on the Indoor Stadium side. So much has changed, gone is the crudely tarred square car park near the condominiums. The only thing left alone were the condominiums and the bridge... >.<"

Headed to Marutama Ramen-ten with Brother and Mom last Sunday after church at Central to enjoy a bowl of steaming hot ramen, noodles swimming in rich chicken stock, delectable slices of pork, served with generous portions of spring onion to enhance the taste. They also had fried shallots at every table to give it that extra 'Oomph'

Oh, remember to add the seasoned tamago (egg) into your bowl of ramen...

It looked so damn good when I chomped the hardboiled into half. Look at that lovely 'wet' yolk. It certainly looks harmless, yet intriguing. How did they cook it?!

Here's the extra sides that Brother recommended...

Stewed Pork Belly. Buta Kakuni.

Dumplings in vinegar. Though I didn't really caught on to the generous dose of vinegar, it was still lovely. 'Nuff said, the Gyoza was good.

Attended Graduation Ceremony with Bibi. Was a little disappointed that not a lot of our class peeps turned up, while the other courses had almost full attendance...

Has been some time since I had a 'light hearted' meal. Enjoyed a good Teochew porridge dinner with Bibi (before the comments were made) at Bukit Timah. Good for those who are out till late and want something easily digested, yet not too filling for the stomach. =)

Celebrated Mother's Day at Werner's Oven. Courtesy of Dad... originally Bro and me. XD Seriously great German food... and yes, BEER!

Enjoyed a good pint of Paulaner house brew. Ordered stew that came with pretzels instead of the usual bread buns.

One of my favourite starters, breaded cheese, served with cranberry sauce. It was so damn f**king good, warm crust on the outside and pull-able cheese topped with that sweet pulpy cranberry sauce! OMG I wanted more... but it was a cool 9 bucks per plate. -.-"

German platter for four. 4 large German veil sausages, one large pork knuckle and two large slices of ham. Yup you guessed it, I couldn't finish it... leaving it to Bro and his great 'stamina'...

There is also small bakery that sells German pastry at the other side of the restaurant. Great pastries such as apple cheesecakes, banana (with a little milky custard) puffs, and other savoury toppings!

After all that food, I seriously felt PH4T. LOL.

Prices range around 20++ per person. The pork knuckles, sausages are a MUST try. =D

If you are able to go down, it's located at Siglap Road, just opposite Starbucks Coffee. Parking space is seriously limited. If you do park at the public car park, please remember that the wardens are really on the ball, put ample parking coupon so you can enjoy your food without any anxiety and avoid the hassle of having to run back to the car to place more coupons.

On a rare Saturday out with Bibi, decided to head to the Singapore Flyer again (last time being her birthday) for dinner. Enjoyed a ravishing, fatty, oily but satisfying meal of Popeyes before chilling out near the F1 pit stands...

I'm badly in need of a GOOD NIGHT'S SLEEP, judging from that picture... T_T

Polytechnic is seriously an on-the-ball thing for me. Firstly, no more Fudder transportation, so I've gotta cart my weary body early in the morning, ON TIME, for lecture class that has no leniency or mercy on latecomers who fail to make the mark by 1 minute... or even a second. -.-"

Secondly, if you dare, EVER to fall asleep during a lecture... then I guess it's a complete blank when the tutorial sessions come for you to present your answers. -.-"

Chocolates and a good bottle of juice are lifesavers to stay awake.

Went to hunt for the location of Sunset Grill at Seletar Airport with Benny a few days ago. We were unable to find it. However we chanced upon a good photo shoot location...

This particular song is a masterpiece. It has the feeling of the good ol' ID songs back in the 90s, which I never fail to enjoy thoroughly. =D

Baby tried to avoid the candid camshot, but failed in an entirely new epic style, which is kinda cute in a way. XD

Class has been an extremely boring and sleep affair. I'm already DYING to keep my eyelids awake during Stats lessons and dry modules like POM and MicroEcons. It's not that I don't like dry topics, but they're understandable enough at my level that I tend to subconsciously brag to my inner-self, "Don't bother studying lah! This kinda stuff you already know liao!"

I need to reformat my brain capacity. There are "trojans" called laziness and procrastination, I'm sure of it.

Such a coincidence, Bro Harocarlos's 'Bumblebee' ride spotted at NYP. Found an excuse to drive 'Suzie' out during the day, stuck a day coupon and drove out on the pretext of having to cart Baby and my laptop, packages and etc back home...

Then to my surprise, we were not the only SCSG members there...

Me and RooP headed down to Yishun Dam in a pair, to kill time before we went to pick Leonard up at the airport. This rare pair of 'Blackbirds' were captured at the Jalan Kayu Esso Mobil petrol station just before entering. It's the smallest station I've seen so far...

The following day saw some major happenings. I met up with YS and Leonard at my place first before we convoy-ed to the main event of the day at Kallang Leisure Park...

Finally, Ny3oC's first major car meet-up! And properly captured on photo!

It all happened at Kallang Leisure Park, Car Park F. I'm sure our group photo taking session made heads turn, because we occupied an isolated area of the huge car park to do the photo taking in the most UNGLAM way of unskilled parking and some 'acrobatics'.

It was also an incredible bonding session for team mates. Dinner was settled at Kallang Leisure Park's Subway. Thoroughly enjoyed the day. =)

Great stuff. Near immaculate condition and just the stiffness needed on the bumpy SG roads. Lowered to 2 fingers, able to clear car park humps reasonably, though I'm actually wishing for a single finger spacing. =X

A word of warning for my TC owner readers, it's common word that the 'white ants' are swarming all over OG at the moment. Better stay off it, especially those marked makes and models!

Polytechnic life has been nothing but simply work, and work piling on top of each other. It's a really different life, having to juggle nearly 10 modules in a single semester, compared to the relaxing 3 modules per semester we had back in ITE.

In addition to the stuff we studied back in ITE such as Accounting, Marketing, Effective Communication and such, we've been introduced to...

- Macroeconomics
- Business Functions of Statistics
- Principles of Management

Good grief. Only 2 days and another 3 more to go till the end of the week! How many more modules?!

The horror. Almost every day is a different module. T_T

It's finally done. The major part of my ZC21 project...

Got my coilovers at long last. The legs are now Tanabe Sustec Pro GF (Grip Feeling) coilovers. Spring rates should be F6:R4 or F8:R6. I can't remember exactly, but it's non-damper adjustable and ride height adjustable. Now Suzie is lowered to about 2 finger clearance between tire and fender.

Great service by Jeep Chee Garage. Guoqiang and his mechanics did up the vehicle in less than an hour, installation and alignment all together. Thanks to Brendan for the company!

Initial feeling when I first drove the car was a complete WOW. It's stiff, firm yet set up for daily street driving. I'm kinda glad I settled for this one. I'll definitely get a downgrade in Pes status if I ever got any damping adjustable coilover. XD

Good for Mom and Grannie too. Not too harsh if I drive subtly. Much apologies to Brendan earlier today when I took the speed hump at AMK Hub's car park a little too fast. >.<" He got bumped up and down in the rear seat. So it goes to prove, the rear passengers are seated at their own risk. Barf bags not included. XD

Headed down to Betty's place, since we had a little time. Bibi didn't want to go home too early. Met Betty who just woke up from her sleep, had drinks on her. Thanks Betty Boop! ^^"

Sent Bibi home before heading back to Serangoon to rally up with YS. We then headed down to FK at Paya Ubi to get his CAI (Cold Air Intake) properly configured. Took out the foglights and stuck the CAI pipe in the hole instead.

Then YS was soooo tempted by my coilovers, that he decided to do his BC coilovers there and then. That's why he's called ASK SYS. ;)

Was stuck there till 7 odd in the evening before we shot down to AMK Autopoint to get my windscreen sunshade done at Agraphix.

Alex did a real good job with the sunshade. Ups for his professional worksmanship and service!

Had dinner at Botak Jones Serangoon with YS before we parted our ways for home.

Great day out today. Now Project Suzie is 50% complete.

Next on list, BBK (rotors, calipers, brake pads, SBH!)... before we move on to cosmetics. ;)

Headed down to Yishun Dam last Sunday. Was greeted by a very quiet scene, though the tranquility is shattered almost suddenly by seemingly harmless Civics that exhale loud blowoffs. Yeah that's right... turbocharged EGs and EKs!

Some people seriously need to wake up their idea. Talk about 'zhng-ing' their rides, only for 'show' and not performance, what a total load of bull. I don't believe there's a single person out there who installs a loud exhaust, air filter, coilover, sport rims, brake kit for his/her car can only claim it's for LOOKS. Come on, who are you trying to fool?

With that kind of setup, it's an invitation to race, should the REAL deal see your 'for looks only' ride. LOL, I can't imagine the sheer embarassment on this 'for looks only' driver when the real unsuspecting ride comes along and tears him/her to shreds. *Rolls on floor laughing*

For those who think they're very fast, please give me a call. I know it's arrogant of me to say this, but I'll invite you to meet a few friends who might peg your ego down a level or two, with rides that are more than 10 years old and more tuned than the money spent on them.

Just getting on our nerves...

Not to mention the stupid policy on parking lots. What the hell, cordoning off the whole row of parking lots, just to accommodate 3 stupid stock cars? What nonsense, having to go around all the NYP car parks to find a retarded lot... JUST TO COLLECT MY ENROLLMENT PACKAGE.

Driving to school is a major turn off. You don't say, I already regret it.

Feeling like plugging in my PS3 for a game of Midnight Club Los Angeles, but the thought of waking up too late, especially in the afternoon just irks me. I should sleep early. XD

The main blog update; POLYTECHNIC ENTRY RESULTS...

Was out with JL, helping him with rims and tires selection at the various showrooms when I noticed the time was 2pm, on the 3rd of April 2009. Quickly borrowed his iPhone and checked my JPAE application results...

And was pleasantly pleased that all that hard work, grueling nights studying, presentations, proposals, projects had paid off!

I GOT ACCEPTED INTO POLYTECHNIC. AND INTO THE COURSE I LONGED FOR.

After 3 years in ITE! Finally!

Much of my appreciation goes to my classmates for their support throughout the years, be it back in College West or College East, I have them to thank for all the effort, encouragement, help they have given me! Love you guys!

And OMG. I seriously got plenty of white hair!

Worked up a shine on Dad's car just last Sunday. Got some real sore arm muscles and plenty of perspiration lost during the session. The challenging part about the sessions is that his ride is also black, and had not been properly sent for regular grooming over the year. The lack of a buffering machine is also a contributing factor to all that perspiration and sore arms...

Here's some pictures to do the talking... Dad's ride took about 3.5 to 4 hours.

Stuff used was:
1) Car Shampoo
2) Claybar
3) Polish
4) Car Wax

Starting with Dad's badly swirlmarked and lightly scratched Volvo S60 2.0T (Nighthawk Black)

Bonnet damage... note the watermarks and the two prominent scratches...

After grooming... it was already dark by then. Had to turn on my garage lights, so the lack of natural light caused some limitations to photograph the final effect.

How about that?

Didn't tire shine Dad's car because the tires were nearly bald. Sign of 40k mileage on the road and the laziness to change. If I tire shined them, he would have no grip on the road while driving. Would have ended up sideways through all the corners. XD

Personally, I felt that the grooming on Sunday was still not up to standard. Could have been better. The lack of time, and a buffering machine certainly contributed to the dissatisfaction.

Also am planning to change my grooming lineup to Duragloss. Better to stick to a certain brand for best effect.

On that topic, anyone willing to sponsor me a buffering machine? XD

Met up with JL and YS just last Saturday, along with Leonard and our (Me and JL) respective OCs. YS wanted company to AestMods to do up his 'Seevic Typo R' pedals. He found his rubber foot pedals simply too plain.

Meeting point was at Eunos MRT Station car park. While waiting for YS to arrive, I experimented around with the camera and took some pictures of both our cars...

YS came late! He entertained us with a 'Seevic Typo R' high RPM run across the car park. I was most certain Leonard was tempted at that moment, to also change his exhaust and the open pod. XD

We ended up stuck outside a closed AestMods garage. LOL. Bad timing, they were closed. Ended up going to Autobacs to buy some detailing poison for our rides. Promised JL and YS to give some tips for detailing. =P

Till then, I've got a HOLY WEEK ahead. Yes, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Holy Saturday and Easter Sunday!

Yes, that's it. It's gonna be the Tanabe Sustec Pro Five. It's here, a 12 stage damping and height adjustable suspension kit. A step over Sustec Pro GF because Pro GF is ride height adjustable, but non-damping adjustable.

Seems like it's the hottest talk in town over at SCSG. =D

However, it's also a cool 1.95k, compared to the Pro GF that's price at 1.65k. Zzz... gotta save up! If it's car related, you can count on my determination. LOL.

Caught this movie just yesterday with Bibi at VivoCity.

Then Suzie Dear had 'makeup' put on her a few weeks ago. That's right, dry carbon fibre layers on her A pillars, B pillars and the rear window visors. Now she looks more 'tiong' or as the locals would say, "LIAN!" Hahaha... XD

So I would like to say my thanks once again to Alex at Agraphix for the fantastic job on the pillars! Would want to go back to him again for a sunshade windscreen decal or if there are any other cosmetic changes Suzie needs. =D

Then next one was Suzie's interior. Dashboard is now a fantastic fierce red. Added a glove compartment light and also changed the cabin reading light. People now complain that the cabin reading light is imba BRIGHT. LOL.

So for some DIY job to save money, I debadged her myself... wasn't easy. After quite a bit of WD40 and blistered fingers, I managed to remove her rear badges.

Polished using Autoglym's Super Resin Polish and Meguiars Tech Wax. It's now a shiny bum. No no... not literally bum. XD

Here's some evidence of the toll that I've taken. Prolonged obsession with the car gives you badly blistered fingers... this is one of them.

Can't effectively hold chopsticks properly. If I straighten my fingers too quickly, the repairing layer of fluid that hardens threatens to crack and expose the sore to water, which stings it so badly and brings tear to my eyes. T_T

I'm a car maniac alright. Bibi completely agrees with me. XD

She asked before, "Why didn't you get the pink colour Swift? Then do up a Hello Kitty full body decal..."

I gave her my 'duh-est' look and she grinned at me.

Valentine's Day saw us spending some quiet time around town. It's actually the first time touring the quieter parts of town with Bi... =)

Drove down to Suntec City, only to find plenty of parking lots. Quite surprisingly, especially since it was on a Saturday, labeled with a special occasion too.

Had dinner at Marina Square's Waraku. Had to wait quite a bit, only to have the staff miss our queue number! However we were quickly ushered to a table. We immediately sat down and ordered food...

Matched Bi's pace for the first time. Did that because the food portions were rather small, so decided to slow down my usual pace of wolfing down food... =P

We walked down to the quieter parts of town after dinner. Haven't done that for some time with someone special... =)

It would be scary if she meant what she said, "Lets get married here in the future!" when I took the photo above...

I'm as broke as it is, after spending a good four digit sum on 'shoes' for the second girlfriend of mine. ._."

Finally did a major cosmetic upgrade for 'Suzie'. Her 'shoes' are now SSW 16" multi-spoked alloys...

These alloys are wrapped in Potenza RE001s, dimensions 205/45R/16. Expensive stuff, more expensive than the rims themselves! >.<"

With AOA down just last Friday, am happy with how I performed during the exam. Am hoping for a Grade A for this particular subject, especially after fouling up my first AOA test. Hopefully 2 As and 1 B will still get me an overall A after moderation! *Crosses fingers*

Witnessed an accident unfold right in front of my eyes 2 nights ago along Tampines Avenue 7. Case of typical drink-driving. Van driver plowed into a car, tried to escape after that but was caught. Not surprisingly, he'll be charged for drink-driving, hit-&-run. Jail and a suspended license is what he'll be rewarded with! Serves him right!

Lucky Suzie was completely stock when Traffic Police interviewed me. LOL. XD

A day after that, I met Bibi and went fishing at Changi Beach with the twins. =)

It's been a long time since I've heard this song. =)

Firstly, a happy Lunar New Year to everyone. Though the economic crisis is in near full bloom, and expected to do it's worst for the next estimated 5 years, Singaporeans are still spending money, though cautiously during this festive season.

It's almost the same in my context, my new car and the installments and liabilities (ERP, Cashcard, Coupons, Fuel, Inspection, Road Tax) that we have to face for the coming years.

While we're at that, I might as well make the best of it. XD

Recently, more than once, Dad and Mom invited Bibi out for lunch on Sundays. It ain't no small spread I tell you. Places like Traders' Hotel, Merchant Court Hotel (OMFGWTHBBQ parking prices!) for international buffet lunch. I seriously think her waist is like the radial size of a car tire, slowly increasing from 45R to 55... =X

What's the most noticeable thing even to Dad and Mom, is that she seriously WHACKS the dessert line! LOL! XD

I bought myself a set of Meguairs car care set just recently, their NXT range of shampoo and wax. Decided to work the car to a shine because relatives would be visiting later, first time viewing my car...

The end result, I wasn't really satisfied with the shampoo as the bottle I bought (failed to check properly), leaked onto the receipt that I shoved into the same plastic bag. Dad said that the shampoo was rather corrosive as it literally erased the ink/print off the receipt!

I can't just discard the bottle, so decided to try it still, though I mixed it gingerly with small amounts into a bucketful of water (around 2 caps) and got a slightly soapy solution.

The after wash result was okay IMO, left some watermarks due to my slow speed of wiping dry the car. Fine, fault on my part. LOL. XD

Then I tried out their NXT Wax Spray on the car...

Result? I was happy with it! Had to simply spray evenly on the surface, spread it with a detailing cloth like you would do with polishing your leather shoes. Leave it to haze after a few minutes and then buff it to a shine with a dry cotton cloth.

Even Dad was impressed that it took off quite a bit of swirl marks left from washing the car and dirt being kicked up, scratching the car.

Probably, now I can start a car waxing/polishing business? HEHEHEHEH. Just wishful thinking on my part. I was really, really happy to be able to take care of my own car, though it took me nearly 2 odd hours (an improvement over the previous session of 3 hours) to do up a full wash and some 1/3 of waxing.

LoL. Whee hours of blogging. Dad needed help with some administrative stuff, so decided to take the opportunity to update a little here since I'm just about done with it. =D

Headed down to CAD at Paya Ubi Industrial Park with Dad last week to browse at some 'poison' for the car. Installed a pair of foot pedals. Am now a happy man. XD

Was just done a few hours ago since 8.30pm just now, washing my car. Some ask, "How do you wash in the dark?" Well, I rolled the now-defunct iron auto gate back with sheer brute strength, effectively taking up 30% of my dinner. Then reversed the car in and turned on the garage lights.

Took nearly 3 odd hours to 'bathe' Suzie... *Laughs* Yeah, ended around 11+pm. I'm mad, call me KUREIJI OJI-CHAN~

Bibi tried her luck at being funny while I was washing the car. She texted...

"U wash car, I watch TV. Both ur GFs juz showered." (Meaning she just had her shower, and so did 'Suzie'!)

Okay lah hor? Decent joke lah... give Bi some credit will ya? =X

Dad just got the acknowledgement SMS from the SE not long ago earlier in the afternoon, and that simply spurred me to start my window shopping.

Mak was nice enough to go with me on my quest for accessories and parts, so in his humble and surprisingly shocking March, we headed down to a few places; Paya Ubi Industrial Park, Tagore Lane (YES *ARAG* *!) and Sin Ming. Was a little disappointed being unable to find many of the much talked about companies in Paya Ubi, we simply got lost going in circles. "Where the hell is the fifth floor anyways?!"

Then stepped into M*well *entures, our first place of poison, well at least not so poisonous for Mak, since he was looking for something to be able to strengthen the damaged left front arm of his car caused by an accident some time ago. For me, it was a rather eye-opener. FRP body kits, suspensions, exhausts, rims, tires, gauges, meters, pedals... OMG! THE LIST GOES ON!

Asked about for the what I wanted, then we headed to Tagore Lane's *ARAG* *. Plenty of high class stuff (not forgetting to mention EXPENSIVE!) there, tuned R35s, CT9As, AP1s, GRBs and GDBs... -__-"

Again, asked for my stuff before leaving. Now at least I have something in mind. XD

Headed down to Sin Ming with Mak to check out bodykits from the various shops in the MegaMart. Another piece of homework done. Now the problem is the gathering up of funds.

Good part-time jobs to introduce to me... anyone? XD

I always love a particular sentence that goes like this:

Brought Bibi to the Singapore Flyer after a ultra-super-heavy delicious lunch. She still thought it was the VivoCity multi-storey car park. HAHAHAHA.

Hyper girl, kept asking me to take photos. LOL, well gotta agree. It's not often that we go up on the expensive Ferris Wheel. LOL. XD

Just as much as I kept surprising her, I had a bad share of 'surprise' as well. When I was about to exit the car park, I was suddenly hit on the rear left fender by a reversing chap who failed to check his blindspot.

1) Don't make it sound so tough to give up clubbing because it ain't.
2) Don't make it sound so almighty of you to tell the guy you can't be in a relationship.
3) In relation to (1) & (2), you make yourself sound like a complete fool by saying things like, "I can't be with you because of my lifestyle."
4) Stop sharing stories about you or whoever maybe concerned because it sound like grandmother tales.

I don't need you to tell me that I should not be in an emotionally depressed mood, neither try to nail any sort of blame on me without understanding the situation.

To summarise it, SHUT UP IF YOU DON'T KNOW ANYTHING. LOOK IN THE MIRROR DEEP AND HARD BEFORE CRITICISING ANYONE AND DICTATING HOW THEY SHOULD LIVE THEIR LIVES.

I ponder over that single line of UVERWORLD's new single and wonder, is love that really too heavy to carry?

If it is, it takes a darn lot of commitment, and being true to yourself to go on with this heavy thing called love.

Had a so-called, 2nd NY3OC Lancer Outing this time to East Coast Hawker Centre with JL, Daren, Leonard and Ossan. Have never seen JL's car before, so it's a first time even sitting in it! Gorged on plenty of food there and enjoyed a hearty chat.

More than once have I thought, could my PS3 be hooked up to the PC monitor? Some people ask me, "Why move it from the TV downstairs even if it could be hooked up to the PC monitor? Isn't the TV a better choice, being bigger in size?"

Hell yeah, the monitor is a crappy 19" compared to the TV downstairs. The fact that the TV is pure HDMI makes the 19" HDCP pale in comparision already. I mean WTH, I rather be playing on a pure max resolution scale, shooting stuff up, racing with full graphics quality...

The reply I gave was, "Well, my parents like to think of the TV as an incredible piece of background noise even though they don't watch it for 50% of the time it's on and they don't intend to share it with me still."

So what now? Label them as the 'Dog in the Manger'? Hopefully not, even though things are going the way that the tagging fits them PURRRFECTLY.

Anyways, I headed down with Bibi to grab a HDMI-DVI adapter to test out. After some frustrating initial problems, I finally fixed it right! It's working at a lower resolution now but hey, I can live with that tradeoff! ^^"

Then after hooking it up, I realised that I lacked sound. Another problem, fixed it by obtaining some RCA converters and tadah! PS3 and PC to game in tandem. No having to fight with parents over the TV to enjoy the PS3! XD

Damn, my room is becoming self-sustaining with regards to entertainment needs! *Evil grin* HEHEHEHEH...

Not all things have been going smoothly. Just after my night fishing trip with the Bros, my fishing line got all tangled with the line that was supposed to be securely fastened on the inside of the reel! In the end, I ended up with plenty of knots (OMG the horror with the cloth line!) and had to snip away. RIP 30lbs fishing line. =(

A new fishing line is in order.

Enjoyed a wonderful Saturday with Bibi in town, lunched, caught a movie (as well as someone falling asleep in the midst of an action scene!), window-shopping, dined at Subway @ Suntec City for dinner and enjoyed a wonderful view of the CBD from Esplanade's Roof Terrace.

Gonna miss out on such times when next week's Corporate Social Responsibility seminar starts! So don't miss me too badly okay 'Bi? HAHAHAHAHAHA. XD

Some problems have been bearing their ugly fangs recently. But really, what can't be solved if you're determined to make things right? For me at least, I think it's a really small matter that could be solved easily if you're just ready to make a change in your life. =)

Sometimes, even anger or a moment of frustration could just spark that motivation even, though it's not in the most optimistic conditions one would expect the sentence 'Positive Change' to kick in!

It actually just makes me feel more annoyed or irritated monitoring COE prices, fuel prices when nothing is just being done. Just plenty of excuses. He clearly knows it has to happen, but he just ignores it.

Well whatever lah honestly, it's no surprise why he was served a lawyer's letter because of he keeps putting off paying bills. Call it laziness or just ignorance, whatever it is, it's plain annoying.

It's not that I'm not doing anything to help. Household utility bills have gone up, so I'm keeping my portion of the usage to a real low. Fishing takes what time I spend at the arcade and in town away. Again, a low cost sport, even the initial cost of getting your own rod and equipment is as low as 30 dollars.

It's only a matter of time that he HAS to get a car, or at least spare his car when he's not using it.

Went fishing just last night at Changi Village and Bedok Jetty afterwards, nearly had luck with the new small milk or tamban fish bait bought at Changi Village. Whatever snapped at my bait last night was damn smart, taking only the bait fish's head off while leaving the part attached to the hook intact. Zzz... and mind you, it was a big CHOMP!

Night fishing is always fun. The cool breeze, a can of booze in hand (if you're not driving!), music and good friends! Unfortunately no one is THAT into fishing. Brendan keeps harping on the "heart itchy itchy" portion. >.<"

Bibi has a crazy thing for mixing french fries with ice-cream. Isn't that like so secondary school? LOL. I remember those days spent at Kovan Macdonalds chilling with classmates and watching skirts. XD

Reel from the famous Shimano gear maker, the AERNOS XT 4000, equipped with a 30 lbs cloth line. XD

After this, Friday nights and weekends will never be the same again. XD

So far no luck with any fishes using the new rod. But I'm sure soon... kitto! *Determined look*

Visited ol' Clementi campus just yesterday and I must say things on the exterior haven't really changed, less the shifting of the entire tourism department to the Safe2Travel agency. Caught up with some ol' friends and had a helluva time chatting with Sam and Nat (Ms SC Prezzident!) till late 6pm until we decided to head home together (Sam of course).

School's been s'well at the moment, have yet to work on the projects but I'm sure we'll be like busy bees with time to come. Bibi has been complaining about the AOA assignments that she's been piling up, and has requested for my ubber slooooow lappy to complete 'em at home. LOL, sure thing... if she can live with that thing. XD

Tampines MacDonalds (CPF Building one) has recently got gutted by a fire started by the adjacent stall selling plenty of cheaaaaaaap electronic stuff. Guess the overloading caused the short circuit and soon sparks and flames burnt down my usual morning breakfast getaway. Zzz...

Unlike my current exotic Toshiba 911T that has only 3G, meaning no reception when I go underground...

Rented a car and went plane-spotting with Bibi at Changi Point. Had takeaways from MacDonalds at nearby Pasir Ris and ate while watching planes flyby and people fishing.

OMG. It's the F1 madness. I never thought I would be THIS INTO Formula 1, but it's a fuggin' fact that I'm so hooked up on damn Wiki the whole time. Now I'm turning into a damn Net-nerd. >.<"

I needed a new wallet, and Dad bought this Ferrari wallet a few weeks ago when he went to Italy for a holiday with Mom. Disappointed that I was unable to go due to the exams, but thanks Pops! XD

You can't blame me. The hype about the world's first F1 Night Race is simply too infectious. I feel kinda proud for Singapore ya know? It's the first time F1 is in town, not to mention racing at NIGHT on our city streets. LOL. I wasn't at the location on Sunday night though, thought it would surely be crowded. I went there on Saturday with Ryo to catch a glimpse of the AM Regional Race, Porsche Carrera Cup and the BMW Formula qualifying rounds.

Not quite sure which turn this is, but it was a chicane before the cars pass under the grandstand of the Marina barrage.

Was spectacular from the place I stood, a fire exit located between Marina Square and the Mandarin Oriental hotel instead of standing previously at Turn 7 where I got shoo-ed more than one occasion from an organiser. Zzz.

The sounds of the roaring V8s from the AM Vantages was simply just amazing. I love the flat-six engine howls from the 911 GTs more though. XD

I caught something more amazing during the lull in cars roaring on the Marina Street Circuit... a Singapore Lamborghini meetup! ^^"V

At the start of the qualifying, we see 3 Lamborghinis, a LP560, a GL Spyder and a GL SL sitting on the open tarmac, another 2 more partially hidden under the lobby, a Murcielago and a standard GL. Total 5 Lambos marked in red.

Then another 4 roll in marked in yellow. The green GL parks under the lobby, 2 GLs park in the lane along with a GL SL. Total 9 Lambos.

A lone white GL rolls in marked in cyan and parks in the lane already teeming with Lambos. Total 10 Lambos.

A duo rolls in marked in pink. Both GLs park at the head of the lane. Total 12 Lambos.

A single GL SL rumbles in and parks along the other side of the lane is marked in purple. Total 13 Lambos.

A white GL joins the party is marked in green. Parks on the lane opposite the already full side just ahead of purple GL SL. Total 14 Lambos.

At this time, a green GL Spyder marked in maroon arrives and parks just in front of the previous GL. Total 15 Lambos.

Finally two more arrive, a black and yellow GL marked in orange park, completely filling up the entrance lane to Mandarin Oriental.

Total 17 Lamborghinis. 17 damned 'Bulls'... LOL yeah, Singaporeans are getting a tad too rich!

The majority conclude that the world's first F1 night race in Singapore was a success. Though disappointing and eventful, especially for the Ferrari team of Massa and Kimi. Shock, bewilderment and joy could only describe the miraculous win that Renault's Fernando Alonso pulled off, even after settling for 15th place on the pole due to the previous qualifying session's fuel pressure system failing his car.

Certainly looking forward to next year's F1 again! ^^"

It feels like, the girl in this story of this song doesn't feel the deep love coming from the lovetorn guy. Even though she has no real interest in him and probably treats him like dirt, he still loves her with all his heart, willingly without expecting any favours.

Anyways, did a few things during the long hiatus. Went to the RSAF Open House at Paya Lebar Airbase with Chester. Didn't do much there, took a few photos here and there, got baked and then drenched by the sun umpteen times till we went home disappointed that the next aerial display was at 5pm and due to time constraint, were unable to watch it. Zzz.

Also, gotta thank the 'CB' bros for the incredible japanese lunch at their house. Appreciated the effort guys. I learnt a few things, like labelling the utensils and cutlery to avoid wastage. HAHAHAHA. XD

My PSP broke down just a few days ago. Retarded pin or hook on the analog stick broke off, and sent the pointer on a crazy movement around. Heck, I couldn't play any game literally STRAIGHT. Sent it for repairs, and then racked up a bloody killer repair fee of 100 dollars for the replacement of the analog mechanism and the face of my PSP, which suffered hairline cracks along the critical screw points. Yeah, I got literally SCREWED in my wallet as well. Zzz.

Like she said, "Treat it like a one time repair thing. It doesn't happen all the time so it's okay."

I certainly hope so. LOL.

Oh yes, the most crucial update here! FINALLY! Did I keep everyone waiting? I guess not. LOL. Okay, met up with Mak today and headed down to the Marina area to 'inspect' and walk the world's first F1 Night Race. I'll let the pictures do the talking!

Okay, now for the pictures of the pretty JDM (Japanese Domestic Make) cars while I was there... XD

We chanced upon the pit for the Support Races, plenty of Aston Martins and Porsches inside, plus the BMW Cup vehicles. However being a biased domestic make person, I chose to take photos of the AMs. XD Didn't see the Porsches though...

The F1 Track Safety and Medical Cars! Damn, I wouldn't mind being a driver for either Safety or Medical Car... guaranteed a Super License plus a suh-weet AMG tuned NA V8 like this? Too good to pass up!

Apparently I lost a little 'drive', didn't get myself into the right attitude to study. Worse still, it's the heaviest module loaded semester. Right now I'm tethering at the edge of a B and an A. By the end of this week, I'm going to go into 'full steam' at the books, not leaving a single page unturned!

Anyways, on to REAL stuff...

Once again repeated the cycling stunt done a month back... and this time, well, it was much better! I got smarter apparently...

... and decided to leave my house around noon time instead of 5.30pm. XD

Chester tagged along this time. So the 3 chaps of me and both brothers headed down to Pasir Ris for lunch after rendezous-ing at their place. Stupid Brendan bought the 'english cooling tea' for me. It was actually TIGER BEER.

WTF. Beer in the afternoon? He's gotta be crazy to make me drunk at such a time of the day.

But I took up his challenge. XD

After which, we visited the various fish farms around Farm Way 1 and 2...

We saw the Arapainas or whatever you call 'em, huge freshwater fishes that grow up to 4m long and are freakin' creepy if you ever fall into the deep pond with 'em. SERIOUSLY, if it was me, I'll freak out! T_T

Then Brendan tried his luck, 'gambling' his life at the trailer park with the wild dogs that someone had to guard his truck or something. Thanks to him, we were on a mad dash for our lives as Brendan unleashed the pack of 5 ferocious dogs on us!

We cycled as fast as our tired calves could take us out of the trailer park and back onto our original planned itinerary! -__-"

Yep, it was Changi Point AGAIN. I seriously can't get enough of the breeze and roaring engines of the planes that come low over our heads on final approach to Changi Airport!

I've finally got my sacred driving license! After months of diligence to keep schedule, learning with keen earnest, waiting in anxiety for the traffic police test... it all finally paid off!

It doesn't matter how many points you get, it's just that coverted 'PASSED' column box tick that matters! I got 14, but honestly... seriously... really... I don't think I even did so many mistakes till I deserved 14 points. -.-"

I don't think that the day of owning my car is that close at hand YET. However, the first few steps of owning your own cashcard AND the probation plate is a good feeling. =)

Taking off the probation plate probably feels even better. HAHAHAHA.

Oh yeah. The guys celebrated Lam's birthday a few days back. Had a whoppin' 3 patty-burger meal at the Depot Road Botak Jones branch before proceeding to the Henderson Waves @ Telok Blangah Heights. Well actually it's also Mt. Faber, coz' it's connected across.

We celebrated at nearly 70 feet above sea level, if what the floorboard scribbings say are true. Cut the cake, and was literally forced at hand to finish the durian cake slice. Zzz. We slacked till about 11pm and left the place, leaving behind good memories. =)

I'm so looking forward to trying Dad's S60 'Type R' on the roads soon! ^^" But I look forward to the Ubi/Commonwealth Car Mart visit even more! LOL! XD

I took Bro's rented bike for a 'trip' recently. Was supposed to only go around Hougang, but ended up taking it to Tampines. Okay fine, I endured the long stretch along PLAB and then the treacherous narrow roads of Old TPE... then finally met Brendan for a short break at his place (Thank God he was at home! LOL!) before I made this INCREDULOUS suggestion to go down Changi Point!

Okay before I go on, I have to admit, it's oversight on my part. I simply killed myself at that moment. -.-"

I know the picture is bloody dark...

We cycled down without dinner and reached the Point at about 8pm, where my body started to show me some signs of fatigue and breakdown (I had this stupid leg cramp lah...)...

Watching an Airbus pass really close over our heads... again, sorry for the dark picture.

We enjoyed watching a few planes flying really low over our heads on final approach to Changi, which was like incredibly cool! Never had I ever expect to take myself so far on such a mode of transport. LOL.

The return leg of the trip was the killer. I found myself seriously out of energy back. Not to mention after parting ways with Brendan at the entrance to Old TPE from Tampines, the already narrow road seemed even more scary with the streetlamps being eclipsed by the tall trees. Geez... I nearly got roadkilled on a few occasions by the cement mixers and bus service 72... -.-"

I had to push the bike on some uphills that were simply not noticeable if you were on a car or bus. My legs simply gave up. Zzz...

I remember leaving the house a tad too late, 5.30pm.... and I got home at 10.15pm!

LoL, I'll be sure never to repeat that stunt of a journey ever if I'm alone again!

Progressive Doujin Trance for t3h win!! ^^"

Pardon my usage of l33t language, but there's no other way to describe Lix's incredible charm of mixing doujin music so well. I've never viewed Progressive Trance this way before. It's really about personal opinions I feel... most people don't really appreciate the climax building kind of music. But in this case, it just kicks in so well for me that I'm a loyal Lix fan now. =P

How shall I put it... it's like, the song escalates from a strong single beat, then develops into a story being told, eventually reaching a climax where you either feel determination, anguish or just sorrow. Strangely, I like that feeling. It also has it's moments of mysteriousness and charm, capturing you and entrancing you into some weird rhythm...

Recently got myself a lucky break and managed to find 2 Lix albums. Already a few years back, but still hits in the Doujin music community.

After listening to these incredible tracks in .ogg and .ape format, now I really feel the difference between .mp3 and a FLAC format. Incredible, I hear so much clearer consistency in FLAC compared to .mp3. Unfortunately for us, we suffer from the mindset that .mp3 is the best, or at least the most commonly used audio format around.

It's seriously time to change that. =)

Hello. I'm back from an EXTREMELY long hiatus yet again. =)

Apologies for the untimely and long awaited update. Was incredibly absorbed into soaking in the school holidays (more like 'the calm before the storm'...) playing. I also realised it's time to get my act back in shape...

Things that I've been up to recently...

1) Jogging!
2) Cycling!

Yep. Finally decided to do some exercise before I accumulate too much tummy fats and then become some beer bellied 'uncle'. =X

Further things to be settled within this 'holidays' include studying for my Office Administration and Management (OAM), Tourism Related Products and Services (TPD) whose CAs are approaching just after the end of the holidays. That includes the project proposal submission deadlines for 3 modules as well. Dang. >.<"

Have been watching plenty of JDoramas as well. The latest include 'Zettai Kareshi' (Absolute Boyfriend) and a rather old one titled 'First Love'.

However just for today, I'll introduce 'First Love', a drama all the way back 6 years ago...

'First Love' tells a story of forbidden love, and the further complications it brings.

5 years ago, then-student Izawa Kazumi (Fukada Kyoko) falls in love with her high school teacher Toudou Nao (Watabe Atsuro). Their forbidden love ended just as quickly as it flourished, when Nao mysteriously disappears, leaving Kazumi both confused and heartbroken.

Now, these 2 must face their unfinished past, as they struggle past lies to prevent any further damage to family and friends and most importantly, be straight about their feelings for each other...

I didn't thought I would download this when I first saw this as D-Addicts' Japanese Serial Drama of the Week. I decided to give it a try honestly because I didn't have any other drama to watch recently and was rather inclined to watch a Fukada Kyoko one, as I don't have a recollection of watching any of her dramas before, except for a brief stint with 'Strawberry on Shortcake' with teen heart throb Takizawa Hideaki.

Strangely after that, I fell under a spell and just got addicted mysteriously. Compelled to watch further, I realised that it was not only just the both of them, but simply the manipulation of the third leg in their relationship, Kazumi's elder sis Tomoko. Her character in the plot, made it sinster with the ways she bent them. *Shivers* Becoming the 'Goddess of Love' certainly is a double-edged sword eh?

The theme song for this particular drama serial is rather fitting as well. Titled 'Sakura Drops' by Utada Hikaru, whom we all affectionately call 'Hikki'. =)

We've all somehow or somewhere heard trance music right? But I never thought it would be THIS good! (at least to me) LoL!

Don't let the cover fool you. Under the disguise of an anime girl, this soundtrack comprises of progressive electronic. Progressive trance actually.

This particular track has got to be my favourite. Seriously gets you on a rush. I already found myself subconsciously tapping my foot. Listening to this in a car, might seriously develop LEAD FOOT syndrome for drivers. LOL.

It's seriously a 180 degree change from my previous playlist. =X

I ordered this GT-R Gakken Mook photobook that follows the development of the Nissan GT-R R35 right from Nur, to the factories in Tochigi and onto the streets of Tokyo Japan. Lovely photobook, with plenty of shots of the heavily 'guised prototype R35 doing their stuff in Germany's Nur track, leading to the handbuilt V6 engines in the Tochigi factories in Japan, and the final product... Japan's Godzilla roaming the streets of Tokyo Wangan...

I ordered this around midnight, and it came literally 1.5 days later! So fast!

This was incredible. I mean... Amazon.co.jp is just fantastic. That's why I simply love online shopping for my fav. stuff. I don't have to literally do special orders or place deposits. Just click, order and pay. So simple!

However, do take note that you have to know what you're getting. Of course, for me it's just stuff like books, CDs, magazines and models. It's pretty alright for impulsive buying under these categories but not really for stuff like clothing. So do your homework properly before placing that order. ;)

We got ourselves a Fit '08 to play around with recently. I must say it's really what I call, love at first sight. Hahahaha.

The one we got was a 1.3 liter i-VTEC model. The G Package with the minimum interior trimmings. However we had power windows. The rest of the exterior was stock, including the 14" factory rims.

Literally, life of the VTEC unit starts at 4,500rpms. It kicked in with a low hum, slowly progressing to a constant dull growl in the cabin, thanks to the Fit's sound insulation, though it was minimal. The acceleration came in at the 4,500rpms area, rather linear, but it increased progressively towards the 6,000rpms mark. The red line was at 6,500rpms...

I wasn't really happy with the factory ride height. It was simply too high. Going over bumps, especially when you're the rear passenger wasn't any laughing matter. Not only that, on wet roads where rainwater didn't drain off completely, the water sloshed around the wheel wells too loudly. Another down factor.

However, I believe it could have been the stock tires. Lowering the ride height would help as well. This would come in forms of aftermarket suspension. Adding more sound proofing would be good too.

The overall view from the cockpit was pleasant. The windscreen is now considerably wider, thanks to the arrangement of the A-pillars. The car is also wider than it's GD brother, giving the rear seating more leg room.

However, the overall comment on the Fit was good. The mileage per litre could have been incredible if not for the lead foot driving. There was rumors that the Fit could manage a 30km per litre stunt. Wow.

The headache I'm facing now is the waiting list for KM's Jazz, which is now into 2nd batch delivery slated in December. Too far. Firstly, parents' enthusiasm might die by then, and also COE prices are uncertain for the months to come with the current recession the US is facing at the moment.

Plenty of stuff has to be done for the Fit if it's the final choice. Yep.

Alright. Ending my rant here. Gotta start preparing for the long run against time with project deadlines in mind. Zzz.

I've just finished watching Taiyou no Uta not long ago.

I gotta say that I'm seriously a sucker for such genre of Jdramas. I just love how they gently churn the human feelings within me. It puts me closer to my most inner being...

I know it sounds weird coming from a guy, but... strangely, I just feel for angst... -.-"

This is certainly an award winning soundtrack for a fantastic tragedy drama. This particular OST from Taiyou no Uta (A song to the Sun) won the 2007 Japanese Television Drama Academy Award for Best Music. (source from DramaWiki)

Right. On to my standard Jdrama review... =)

Taiyou no Uta is about Kaoru Amane (performed by Sawajiri Erika), who first picks up a guitar discarded by a particular teenager in her early youth. She then learns to play the guitar and soon becomes a street singer.

Kaoru is diagnosed with XP, a disease that disables the natural UV protection of the skin. Therefore, Kaoru cannot be exposed to direct sunlight. Direct exposure causes the skin to blister quickly and lesion to develop. The brain can be damaged if her head is exposed to sunlight too.

Therefore, Kaoru comes out only at night to perform her past time as a street singer. She goes to bed in the rising hours of the morning sun, and wakes up at night.

Then one day, as though by some strange fate, she meets Fujishiro Kouji (performed by Yamada Takayuki), the teenager who discarded the guitar years ago that she plays dearly till today.

Kaoru, clearly knows that her illness is life threatening, tries to live her life to the fullest doing what she loves, singing and playing the guitar. Through music, she finds the meaning and strength in life to go on. Kouji on the other hand, is jobless and simply lost, having no dreams in his life.

Living with the pains of his early youth, he realises his strange attraction to Kaoru, and the little sparks of hope and light awaken within him.

Kaoru finds more meaning in just music as she warms up her soulful heart to Kouji as their lives' paths slowly cross each other...

Also performing in the drama is Kaname Jun. (from Himitsu no Hanazono) Check out the car he drives in the Jdrama... *Shocked* (X_x")

Through this drama, actress Sawajiri Erika shoots up to another level of fame, this time with her voice. Sony Records Japan signed her up as her character in the Jdrama, Kaoru Amane and released the single 'Taiyou no Uta'. This immediately sat in the 1st place position of the Oricon Charts on the release week.

The single is also, certified DOUBLE PLATINIUM by the RIAJ (Recording Industry Association of Japan) having sold over 150,000 copies by the end of the first week, and having a total sales figure of nearly 500,000 copies. Incredible!

Am sick! Down with flu and a slight fever. Zzz... it hit me really outta nowhere. Started from a simple sore throat that progressed to a flu and fever! Got an MC for today, but feel kinda woozy still.

Oh yeah. I remixed this particular track myself. Didn't really enjoy the rappin' portions of the BGM, so I just put some creativity and the synthesized portions of the BGM back to back. Looped it a bit and then ended it with a great note. XD

Recently, am in a Wangan Midnight craze. Don't know why. Maybe I watched a tad too much Wangan anime. Though the DVDs are expensive, but they're pretty worth it compared over to what a local company that has lost touch with reality might bring in. (Stick that up yours X*D*!)

Reading a particular's individual's blog. I realised that some things have not changed. I mean... if there's always problems between the individual and friends (who then slowly isolate that individual), shouldn't it be time for reflection instead of pushing the blame to someone else and using excuses as shields?

I really wonder why isn't any self reflection done. It's kinda sad seeing things go this way. Especially... after 2 years. Having grown up since then you claimed, but from the way I see it... things have not changed. There's still problems between your feelings and whom you love. Why is that so? Hasn't it been a lesson learnt since that very day?

I'm not reprimanding or angry in that tone whatsoever. But... things like these, they need to be fixed. Not every thing goes the way you want it to be.

That's why I don't hold high hopes in doing anything extra right now besides studies and games and the fellow friends in school and on the weekends. Had enough of being a nice guy and always having to face so many disappointments and setbacks.

Alright, ending my rant here. Eat more fruits and veggies, drink lotsa water too! Crazy weather out there!

Just had a sudden impulse to blog this after having finished watching an old but incredibly powerful drama.

So powerful that it drew tears to my eyes. Had to close to my room door to shed those tears. It's been some time since tearjerkers like 'Ima, Ai ni Yukimasu', 'Say Hello for Me'...

One Litre of Tears, filmed back in 2005 is about a true life story about Aya, a 15 year old girl who's kind hearted, intelligent and atlethetic, diagnosed with an incurable neural disease that slowly erodes her body's motor functions, eventually leading to death.

Aya not only fights the disease within herself, but as well as physical and emotional obstacles in her life. Being laughed at, gossipped at, looked upon with scorn, being talked about behind her back by classmates, she faces all these. Wanting to loved, to be held, she writes her life story down in a diary...

Drawing strength from her family and within herself, Aya fights such obstacles, things that do not even seem significant to us every day. She not only comes to terms with her illness, she realises the importance of every day living and how important it is to live on, no matter how hard things might be, how insignificant it seems, give it all your best. I'm back! After a rather long hiatus. =P

Suddenly, I'm back to an Alice Nine and FUNKY MONKEY BABYS craze all over again. I've changed the mp3 playlist to some choice Jpop songs that I've been listening to. Yes, it's the latest on my playlist, maybe just about a few days old. =)

Dad certainly wants to keep my mouth shut (or throat injured) for the next few weeks with such an enormous amount of chocolate. Apparently doesn't want me to bitch to him about wanting a car. =X

Recently, I've gotten myself a VPost account where I can buy stuff from Japanese e-merchants who only do delivery within the country (Japan of course). It's free, and it's rather safe, having you to acknowledge a SMS to your phone before doing any transaction or payment.

It goes something like this...

1. Visit an online merchandise site in Japan (Ensure that the site accepts global credit/debit cards first)
2. Purchase your item, providing the details of the given VPost Japan address
3. Send/Fax email/invoice to VPost, informing them of the incoming items
3. Items will be shipped to the VPost Japan address
4. VPost will inform you on every Thursday that items have successfully arrived and confirmed at the office
5. Make payment for the shipping to Singapore on Friday
6. Receive goods in about a week's time

It works like that.

Well, I've been a little distressed using it for the first time. The links are a little confusing around the VPost account that you are given. I didn't realise that Kanji and Katakana versions of the address are given! I posted the english one to my poor japanese merchants, who couldn't ship to the proper address till I sent them a second email with the address in proper kanji. Zzz~

So I kinda wasted a week of delivery time on their part. Honto ni sumimasen! >.<"

So far, only one parcel of my Shaku Yumiko collection has been shipped to the VPost office in Japan. Now awaiting my second parcel before I consolidate both items, make payment and have them shipped to my doorstep.

Here's the second bitchin' thing about VPost Japan... they only do consolidating every Thursday! Not Monday or any other day! It means... I'll only get wind of my parcel when they do the confirming and processing of my item this coming Thursday. Geez, why not every day... -.-"

To keep me consoled, YesAsia.com has delivered my first Shaku Yumiko CD while waiting for the remaining 2! Yes! Thank you YesAsia! ^^"

Results of the exams have been released just last Wednesday, and I must say I suffered near heart attacks and nightmares just the day before it! Couldn't eat properly, couldn't sleep properly, even had stupid recurring nightmares that I did badly for even ETP!

But then, 'You Reap What You Sow'... I guess in this case, I got what I deserved.

I'm pleased with the results. =) Thank God!

With the encouragement from family and friends, I'll take all these well wishes and carry on with the same determination to do well in my life as well as my current academic pursuits with zeal and HONOR!

Oh yeah. Final Fantasy VII Crisis Core for the PSP has been absolutely addictive... XD

LoL. Watched 'Waterhorse' the movie yesterday, it brought back fond memories of 'Free Willy' when I was a kid. Just as enjoyable. =)

This week is Holy Week. The combination of Maundy (is that how it's spelt? LOL) Thursday, Good Friday, Holy Saturday and Easter Sunday. Oh dear, my church visiting days are gonna be so frequent this week onwards. =X

My 35 SGD of stuff has finally arrived. LoL. Never had I paid so much for Shaku Yumiko stuff! The PHP magazine costs only 6 odd SGD, even ordering an extra copy made it only 12 SGD on the total purchase price (minus shipping). It was the shipping method that made it really expensive. Yes, tracking delivery by Fedex. Hell, I'm not sure whether I even selected the correct option or not, it seemed like the only available one. -.-"

LoL, but whatever! The thing is that, those photos really took the pain off the wallet! (Though I'm feeling a little regretful now LoL!)

I finally found what I was looking for, my Tomiko Van 'farewell' album! After a long search, I finally found it amidst a stack of old CDs in the living room. Pretty Tomiko Van... ^^"

If some of you Jpop listeners might recall, she was previously the vocals for DAI (Do As Infinity). After they disbanded, she went solo, continuing with Avex Trax.

She's the image girl on my NeBO Tapz card, though I would wish the primary card was Yumiko's face instead. =P

I remember this song was just as enchanting the first time I heard it. Fell in love with the CD the first time I bought it after listening to a few preview tracks.

The latest release would probably be the VOICE2 `cover lovers rock' album which as stated, is more 'rock-ish'. However, I still prefer this one, it's more mellow and more 'feeling' for the soul...

Went to the IT Fair just a few days ago, even though the semester exams were around the corner. It was simply an opportunity NOT to be missed. ^^"

The Creative SL3100 bluetooth wireless headphones. These cost 200 SGD a piece before the Fair. I got 'em for 129 SGD during the Fair. I won't go all out to say it's cheap, but at least hey, it's a rather huge price drop. Hopefully there wasn't anything wrong with 'em. LOL.

It's got pretty good bass. A little heavy though, I don't think the ladies would like this, as testament to MQ's protest when I got them during the Fair. She was like, "Wah lao, so ugly! Don't get it lah! Get the other one! The other one nicer!"

Volume control, Skip/Back, Play/Pause track functions. The other one that MQ pointed out didn't have these. Now I just slip my beloved 911T into my pocket and enjoy wireless music with enhancements from the 911T's equaliser function. Bass for the win. =)

Went out last week around Singapore in a rented car. If you're asking who is the Ah Seah, it's Leonard. A Ford Focus 1.6A apparently. Not really quite what I expected. Don't get me wrong, it's a rather okay car, far from what I imagined it to be. LoL... now don't ask. XD

Headed to Sentosa's Palawan beach after midnight with the usual gang. Was a wonderful place to stretch. Bought Asahi booze and slacked. Yes, even the booze's brand has to be japanese. XD

Apparently, ITE signed some contract with Loreal. There was a show at our school. I was involved with the 'Logistics' side of it. Let's just leave that 'Logistics' stone unturned yeah?

Headd down to a japanese restaurant last Friday for sushi with Ryo-chan and SJ. Though the food was not really to taste, but I love the free flow of sashimi. Hey, at least no rice to make you feel stuffed right? XD

Was at the Singapore Airshow 2008 just last Saturday. Was a really packed event. I tried explaining to Mr. Joshua Mok that we would be at the losing end if we were late, but NOOOO! He wouldn't listen! >.<" After 'much' persuasion, he finally relented and we arrived at the venue around 10am, which was already pretty packed with people.

Mucho thanks to Dad for the food and the 'front row seats' at the SIAEC chalet! Oh yeah, the Pan Pacific Hotel catered food was great too. ^^"

This year was good. We could really walk up to the planes and really see the internals like the landing gear and engines up-front and personal. Interesting stuff. Will upload a few for you peeps to see, though I know you probably won't be interested in aviation stuff. =P

Something "LIFE TURNING" happened just a few days ago. I was deeply traumatised...

SERIOUSLY...

DEEPLY...

TRAUMATISED.

I felt like crying, but there was nothing I could do. I watched helplessly as my Dearest cried out in sharp, agonising pain as she was trampled upon...

I could only watch in horror, nothing came out of my mouth. I hoped though, some small miracle could save her. But... alas. My heart cried out in the same excruciating pain that left her half-dead along the road...

When I held her in my hands, She forced a smile on the surface, but I saw through the pretense and gasped in sadness at what was left of her...

I was literally ripped to pieces, my heart...

I shook my head, holding back the tears (TVXQ?) that threatened. She showed me her hand, already shattered badly. No matter how much I reassured myself, I knew that she was slipping away...

OH LORD! What did she do to deserve this?!?!?! T_T WHY IS LIFE SO UNFAIR?! WHY DID SHE ONLY HAVE 3 MONTHS TO LIVE?! WHY?! T_T

Uh damn. Think I wrote that a tad too serious... *AHEM*

That, was the tragic end to my Softbank 707SCii. Barely 3 months old, I accidentally dropped it along the road while getting off Dad's car. I only realised that "she" was missing after walking away for a minute. I turned back, only to see "her" being crushed under the wheels of an ignorant taxi driver. T_T

The top shell of the clam was dented, the external LCD was shattered. The insides... LCD screen was half shattered, only half of Yumiko's face could be seen.

Here's the miraculous part about the phone. The keypads, internals (chipset) and all were still working! DAMN. It hurts me twice if "she" is handicapped, just like that! *Cries*

Damn. Me and my carelessness. I probably deserved it for some bad karma I'd done previously...

Was at a total loss. Didn't know what to do. In the end... just 2 days ago, I decided to put the past behind, and move on...

This is my "new" wife. I still miss my old Baby... T_T

Still has the usual limits applied. No MMS, no GPRS, irritating reprovisional popups and just unfortunately, the TV Tuner feature cannot be used in Singapore because of different network types employed by the Japanese and Singapore broadcasting networks.

Overall, it's a great phone though slightly crippled by the locks. However, I still miss my slim 707SCii... =(

Principles of Marketing class has been 'dull and lull' recently. We finally completed our POM project, so it's just the finals that will be happening in early March. Same venue, the hall as usual. Kinda reminds me of Sec. School times during the O Levels. LOL.

Entrepeneurship is about to come to an end. There goes the shared business model between POM and ETP. We did what we could, and now we can only cross our fingers and hope our hard work goes answered! >.<"

Since it's already past midnight, I would like to wish my fellow readers and friends, a Happy Valentines Day! Even though you may not be celebrating it with any loved one, but enjoy whatever special meaning it has. I mean, everyone around the world knows it right? HHmm...

I always tell my friends, that it's pointless rushing things or at least looking for someone to erase loneliness now. It's gonna become a temporary thing, and people are gonna get hurt. So take it easy! Don't rush things, take it easy. =)

Changed my desktop wallpaper. Finally found a compromised resolution setting on my ImageStyler program for creating wallpapers for this widescreen monitor. As my usual craziness, SHE graces my desktop. I now smile subconsciously every time I turn on my monitor. XD

Looking back at last year, I feel like I could kick myself in the nuts for being such a childish person back then. Every time I tell myself I'm older, it means that I'm getting matured but it doesn't tally. At my mistakes of last year, I really feel like a complete failure.

This year however, feels like a change in me. Subtly, something inside me is changing. I can feel it but am unable to put it down into words. A laidback, can't-be-bothered attitude is also setting in. Is this good? I don't know...

They say ignorance is bliss. I tell that to a lot of my friends.

Right now, I just wanna do what I like doing the best, worrying about stuff that I should be worrying about, not things that are superficial. You probably know what I'm getting at. =)

This year should be pretty good I guess, from the looks of it. Hahaha. Probably just the rarely seen optimistic side of me kicking in during the wee hours of the early morning. =X

Just handed up our seasonal Principles of Marketing and Entrepeneurship work not long ago. Mucho thanks to my group members, and a big thank you to Shachou Tizbe, who stayed up all night to wrap up loose ends of the project. SANKYUU SHACHOU! XD

Chinese New Year is once again around the corner. Time flies quickly when ya enjoying yourself huh? I hate to say this, but I'm not really a big fan of Chinese New Years, though this year is a Rat year, MY YEAR. LoL. Personal reasons why so, and I don't wanna disclose it. =P

Got my Commander rank in CoD4, finally! However, I still find that Gold Deagle a very gaudy gun. LOL. Training my G3 single shot rifle now... and the noob tube is indeed good to use! XD

Back to Shaku-ism! As you can see, I've changed my blog title and banner. Experienced a little designer's block, but still managed somehow. I know it's doing injustice to Shaku-san, but hopefully some good inspiration comes a long and I'll re-design it. =)

My time in Call of Duty 4 Multiplayer has finally come! Well, at least what I think is the highest peak, and then it's the decline after that. XD

I know it's hard to see, but please bear with me. LOL. It's the first name highlighted on the top. =P

Also, today was a crazy knifing spree for me. I think I spent more time using my knife than gun. LOL. XD

AND YES! After nearly 2.5 weeks of waiting, my 'Shaku Yumiko in Sky High the Making' DVD has arrived! XD

I enjoyed it, although I found it rather short, a 40 minute clip on Yumiko's experience in Sky High (2003) the Movie. This DVD consisted of material on Yumiko, interviews, her scenes in the show, how she trained for her action scenes, the costumes, and the crew that worked hard behind the scenes to make this show a smashing success. =)

She looked really pretty in the set's wedding gown, as well as in Izuko's role with the dark robe on. How fierce she portrays the determination and will of a woman when she wields that sword. *Cooes*

Not to mention, she grazed her elbow and nearly twisted her ankle during the filming of the fight scenes with Osawa.

As Shosuke Tanihara would describe her, "Yumiko-san is really doing her best out there!"

Sky High is a supernatural dark thriller, written by Ryuhei Kitamura. It tells a bizzare story of a serial killer who seeks the hearts of 6 people.

Apologies for the ubber long delay.

Have been too engrossed with Call of Duty 4's multiplayer. Great game, and the multiplayer function made it only better. I thought I had it all by completing the game on Hardened Mode with the least possible deaths, but then again... slugging it out with other players really knocked it into me. I belonged to the lower echelons of FPS games. LOL.

Wasn't feeling well yesterday. A bout of sinus attacked me once again. It's been occuring too darn often recently. Jeez... I thought I would join 'em gang in the end and I did. We headed down to Tampines for dinner at a local foodstall and then to Loyang. The usual trio and Walter went inside the new Tua Pek Kong temple while me and the other guys decided to remain outside, my sinus strongly objecting to inhaling any smoke producing material.

We followed our trip with a visit to see the "Things with Wings" at Changi Point, near the SAF Ferry Terminal. Mom thought it meant the Devil, I promptly corrected her. "Chigaimasu! Kore wa, TENSHI desu."

Wasn't our night too. The wind was blowing in from the sea, hence we were unable to see any aircraft land, only planes that were already gaining altitude after take off (thanks to the strong sea breeze once again...)

Dad got me a Sony T70 digital camera. Says him, "This is your Christmas-cum-Birthday present. Great for your Osaka Trip." Packs 8.1 mega pixels, 3 x inner optical zoom. Yeah. I'm quite photo-shy, so I guess this camera will just aid me in taking scenic and day to day pictures.

While in the midst of all, I just find it incredulous that people can snub each other right under their own noses. LOL. Strangely, when the 'silt' settles down, it's actually just the 'calm before the storm'. Good grief.

Ah. Never thought this BGM would sound soooo good! Hearing the starting of it turned me off quickly. However, being distracted by phone calls or SMSs does have it's advantages. Soon enough, I heard the middle-ending part of this BGM and it took my breath away!

Headed down to meet my Buddies at Orchard. Maxine was our newcomer for the usual Saturday posse. Headed down to Ngee Ann City's Kinokuniya to get our discounted items. Got myself Volume 28 of Initial D.

Shopping isn't my kind of thing, though I love browsing. Maxine brought us to Muji at Paragon and they got themselves quite a bit of stuff. I got a nice pen with a bit of nudging from Tizbe. =)

Filled the basket with some sketch books, files, drinks and snacks. The bottled grape juice was momentary, cold relief for me.

Visited Aunty MQ at Isetan. Who is B H Kee anyways? LoL, definitely not MQ, though she was wearing that nametag. Tried out some Fossil watches. First time I actually went shopping with opinions from lady friends. LOL.

"That watch looks like a TV on your wrist." I'll remember that.

Bid goodbye my Buddies and headed down to Atrium. I never felt such excitement and anticipation as a spectator during an ID match, but this one surely was a cliffhanger. I held my breath as I saw seemingly impossible overtakes happen, and the many laughable moments for months to come.

Right. Enough about the daily rantings, promised to cut down on those.

LoL. Due to popular demand, I have decided to post these photos for my 'Buddies'... SO STOP NAGGING ME ABOUT IT ALREADY! XD

The AA 'Buddies' headed down to Orchard Road last Tuesday for an afternoon of fun and food.

Firstly, was the unexpectedly quick rounds of pool at the snookerium at Cineleisure. The games were quickly decided due to the unnaturally high amounts of 'tyco-ism' and 'Black Ball ins'...

If only school was as easy as playing cue and eight ball...

We then headed down to Sakae Sushi at Heeren for a round of teatime buffet. I sensed some fear in the restaurant staff as we immediately placed orders for unprecedented amounts of food as soon as we sat down.

But no thanks to 'Buddy Mel' for his extra large upsized mouth that day...

Physical evidence that we left a horde of destruction along the food chain...

I was only too glad to part with 60 dollars for this masterpiece.

What you see here, is pure in game graphics. Nothing short of animation. That already explains one part of the game, and how beautifully realistic it is.

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is a FPS developed by Infinity Ward, published with Activision. CoD4:MW has the same traditions as the earlier WWII CoD series, except in modern times.

The world is in "great" shape, with Russia facing rebellion by Ultranationalists, thousands of nukes and scientists left from the Cold War up for grabs, a lot is at stake.

Not only that, a rebellion has already broken out in a small, yet influential Middle East state. With the president assassinated, a rebel figure ranked the 2nd most powerful man in the Middle East has risen from the shadows, claiming control and waging holy war against the West with deadly military force. The American forces make their offensive move into the state... and also into a deadly trap.

A dark secret lies within the unfolding. Truth, it says, rears it's ugly head to those who seek it.

Great plot eh?

You play as two characters from two forces. 'Soap' MacTarvish from the UK SAS (Special Air Services) and Sgt. Paul Jackson from the 1st Air Recon USMC (United States Marine Corps)

While Soap's mission is deeply set in the former Soviet Union, Jackson's missions are Middle East based.

The SAS agent's role is simple; infiltrate, disrupt, destroy and exit with stealth. The USMC soldier's role requires heavy fire support from tanks and helicopters, facing lots of opposing fire.

Sounds easy? Not until you've played the game.

There are tons of weapons in the game. Every enemy soldier you kill has a weapon that you can always use when your original weapon runs out of ammo.

Certain missions require you to use larger weapons like the Javelin Anti-Tank missile and the AIM-92 Stinger missile. With such weapons, I need not elaborate on what kind of enemies you face in the game. ;)

The landscape in the maps are fantastic... be it in the desolate outskirts of the once vibrant towns of Ukraine near Chernobyl, or in the dusty backalleys of a war-torn country in the sweltering Middle East climate, the scenery is painfully recreated to give the player a feeling of fear, adrenaline and immersion into the plot riddled storyline.

With such an incredible wargame, Harry Gregson Williams' (Metal Gear Solid) musical composition only makes the game even better. I felt despair, tension, and a tinge of excitment with the change of music. Be it escaping from search & destroy forces, or providing cover fire for teammates, the music is an important part of the game.

There are plenty more of good stuff and features that the game packs, but I shall not destroy it for you. If your computer has the ability to play this game, do give it a try.

You won't regret parting with the 60 dollars. I promise.

After watching this, I'm left speechless for words.

Kudos to AkihabaraNews for this incredible review of the Initial D Arcade Stage 4 Limited machines, which are solely available ONLY at Sega Joypolis in Tokyo, Japan.

The machines featured in this limited edition of the Initial D Arcade Stage 4 game are:
1) Toyota Sprinter Trueno GT-Apex AE86 (Fujiwara Takumi)
2) Mazda RX-7 Enfini FD3S Type R with RE_Amemiya Custom Mod (Takahashi Keisuke)
3) Subaru WRX GC8V Type R (Bunta Fujiwara)

These are real cars mounted on the moving platforms. The player sits inside the car as though driving it in real time. Operating from the customised Sega steering wheel, shifter and pedals, the rest of the other equipment left in the car are stock out of factory, other than the occasional Initial D modifications such as the 11,000 rev tachometer in the AE86.

Went to Bryan's new place for housewarming last Sunday with Joshua. I must say, that it's a pretty fine place that's beautifully renovated! I like the kitchen and his bedroom in particular, though I didn't fancy the fibre optic lightings on his bedroom ceiling... LoL. 4k for the... the thing!

I promised myself, and I will fulfill it! I want to go swimming at his house one fine day! XD

Met Sheree and Felicia, finally after literally a few donkey years. Last time I saw them was at least 2 years back. Both on tertiary level of studying right now. *Sigh* Time passes pretty quickly eh? Such a fleeting moment.

Didn't get my PSP fixed with an update because of the OE-A version. Dang. UNFORTUNATELY FOR ME, I did not escape my unforseen fate. Eventually a few days later, I really DID BRICK my own PSP! Gaahh! Again, kudos to Joshua, headed down to Far East to unbrick it. Thanks for the recommendation Bro. Will repay ya by completing the J2's Drift Challenges. =)

School projects are really a handful this term. I really need to get my act going and a close watch on my schedule.

Which brings to mind, I'm thinking of investing in a laptop with my own money via monthly installments. Possible? Hopeful it seems, judging from my pocket money condition recently...

So much stuff to ponder about, so little time...

Since the starting of the new school term, things have seemed to pick a somewhat, quickened pace compared to that of last term. I guess it's probably got to do with the projects.

1) Marketing Module Project (in conjunction with Entrepreneurship Module Project)
2) Entrepeneurship Module Project (vice versa)
3) Business Communications Oral Presentation

Strangely, (3) reminds me of last year's Tourism course's presentations. Time to start getting my schedule synchronised. If I fall short of even just one project step, I'm done for... yup. That's what I say.

Written exams stand for the Marketing and Business Comms modules. One on the same scale as Business Fundamentals, and the other involves letter writing, memorandums bla bla bla. Great.

Don't fall short of schedule Clock-Work Boy!

I realised, that the chocolates that I've been eating in school are falling short of what quality should be. The Timeout choc bar that I bought with Melvin was... simply a waste of money. May I suggest, that TIME TO TIME CHECKS BE DONE ON THE DAMNED INTEGRITY OF THE PRODUCTS?!

Hell, just employ some taste-testing as much as the school conducts them. They'll surely find TONS of defects, that I'm certain.

Enough about school! GAHH!

I find my personal space rather limited at the moment. SMS-ing or even trying to hint to me without saying it out verbally doesn't assure me that things would go right, not on top of the way things are for me right now.
